Büyütech Secures $600K Investment from APY Ventures
Büyütech, a company developing smart camera systems, has received a $600,000 investment from Bilişim Vadisi and OSTİM Venture Capital Investment Funds, both managed by APY Ventures.
As a reminder, Büyütech had previously raised a €2.5 million investment from Farplas in August 2021. With this latest round, the company continues to strengthen its financial position.
Founded in 2011 by Ömer Orkun Düztaş and Alparslan Işıklı, Büyütech initially developed camera-based solutions used in areas such as image processing and defense industry applications. In 2020, leveraging its experience in camera technologies, the company shifted its focus to the automotive sector and began developing solutions in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
In 2022, Büyütech established its automotive-grade camera factory in Bilişim Vadisi. The company started production at the facility in the first quarter of 2023 and, following the completion of this investment round, plans to move forward with its factory expansion strategy.
According to co-founder and CEO Ömer Orkun Düztaş, Büyütech is currently continuing product supply and R&D processes with three automotive companies. He also noted that APY Ventures was the lead investor in this round. The company aims to close the round at $4 million and further strengthen its relationships with international automotive manufacturers by leveraging its expertise gained in Türkiye.
Mustafa Keçeli, Fund Manager at APY Ventures, stated that they are pleased to invest in Büyütech together with Bilişim Vadisi GSYF—focused on mobility startups—and OSTİM GSYF, which they believe will significantly contribute to Türkiye’s startup ecosystem. He also added that Büyütech is the first investment of the OSTİM Venture Capital Fund.
