We previously shared in December 2022 that Shippn, a local startup focused on enabling its users to shop from different parts of the world, had raised 6.7 million TL in an investment round led by APY Ventures. Shippn, which removes borders in e-commerce and enables global shopping, has now announced that it has received a new investment.
According to the information shared by Shippn, the startup raised $547K in a pre-Series A bridge investment round led by Kuveyt Türk Portföy. Other participants in the round, which was completed at a valuation of $8 million, include APY Ventures, Mindvest GSYF, Lima Next Ventures, Kültepe Yatırım, Faik Ulutaş, and Cem Bahar.
Managed by Seyfettin Ersen Erol, Levent İlhaner, Enes Güren, and Duhan İçöz, Shippn operates as a cross-border startup that enables its users to shop from 35 countries. Shippn allows customers to shop from anywhere in the world as if they were ordering to their own home address by using specific addresses, and ensures that purchased products are delivered to their doors within 1–5 business days.
According to the information shared by Shippn, the startup has also managed to triple its revenue in dollar terms after its first investment round.
Duhan İçöz, CEO of Shippn, stated that they believe the investment round will make a significant contribution to achieving their goals, and emphasized that they have strong expansion plans, particularly in the U.S. region where they already have high volume, as well as in the EMEA region where there is strong growth potential.
