MotionWorks, a startup developing video and advertising infrastructures, raises $300K investment from APY Ventures
Founded in 2023 by Alihan İplik, Tankut Akgül, Samet Özcan, and Göktürk Tanyeri, MotionWorks has raised a $300K investment from the APY Ventures Bilişim Vadisi Venture Capital Fund.
MotionWorks, a local startup developing video and advertising infrastructures, announced that it has received an investment. According to the information shared by MotionWorks, the startup has secured a $300K investment from the APY Ventures Bilişim Vadisi Venture Capital Fund.
Founded in 2023 by Alihan İplik, Tankut Akgül, Samet Özcan, and Göktürk Tanyeri, MotionWorks will use the $300K investment it received to grow in the Turkish market. With its AI-powered video and advertising infrastructures developed specifically for digital TV, MotionWorks aims to take the services that TV channels and digital platforms offer to their viewers and advertisers to the next level.
It is also worth noting that MotionWorks currently provides services to TRT channels and TRT’s new digital platform Tabii. The startup is also continuing testing processes on other platforms in Turkey.
Alihan İplik, co-founder of MotionWorks, stated that in recent years, TV content has been consumed entirely over the internet across different devices such as mobile phones, smart TVs, and gaming consoles, both live and on-demand. He noted that existing video and advertising infrastructures in the market fall short of delivering the required experience for the TV ecosystem, which has its own unique dynamics.
İplik added that when founding MotionWorks, they took all these factors into account and developed a product specifically designed for digital TV.
Mustafa Keçeli, Manager at APY Ventures, stated that the increasing consumption of TV content over the internet clearly reveals the need for digital advertising infrastructures. In this context, he expressed that the MotionWorks team—bringing 10 years of experience in the field—and their programmatic advertising infrastructure technology have achieved strong product-market fit, and they believe the company will first dominate the local market and then gain a significant position in the global market.
