According to the information shared by Mindway, the startup has secured a new investment in a bridge round. Mindway’s new investment came from Fatih İşbecer and APY Ventures, who are among the key figures in the startup and investment ecosystem.
No financial details regarding the investment were disclosed. Founded in June 2022 by Tevfik Ufuk Demirbaş and Tim Levent Yurdum with a $200K pre-seed investment from Fatih İşbecer, Mindway develops applications for virtual reality headsets.
According to Mindway, the newly secured investment will be used to accelerate production for the Apple Vision Pro platform and to scale on the Meta Quest platform. It is also worth noting that the virtual reality application called Mindway, developed for Meta Quest, is currently available on the Oculus app store.
Mindway co-founder Tevfik Ufuk Demirbaş stated that although there is not much know-how in the VR field in Turkey, they have built a team that produces quickly and with very high quality, and that their products, which they develop much faster than their global competitors, have achieved success in both B2C and B2B areas.
Mindway co-founder Tim Levent Yurdum stated that people are always looking for solutions to the problems they experience in their inner world, but the wellbeing experience offered by mobile applications is not immersive. He explained that through virtual reality, they disconnect people from the outside world and take them on an inner journey, designing this world in a way that allows users to develop emotional skills and mental coping mechanisms. Finally, it was also shared that Mindway plans to continue its investment rounds with a seed funding round.
