Nanomik, a startup developing natural protection solutions, raises €1 million investment

According to the information shared by Nanomik Biotechnology, the startup has completed its pre-Series A bridge investment round with €1 million. Nanomik’s €1 million investment round was led by Arya VC.

Nanomik Biotechnology, a domestic biotechnology startup whose journey began in 2014 and which we previously covered in 2020, has announced that it has received a new investment. According to the information shared by Nanomik, the startup has completed its pre-Series A bridge investment round with €1 million.

Nanomik’s €1 million investment round was led by Arya VC. Other participants in the round include the T3 Venture Capital Fund managed by APY Ventures, the Technology and Innovation Fund managed by Türkiye Kalkınma Fonu, the Deep Tech Venture Capital Fund, and its existing strategic partner İTÜ ARI Teknokent.

The new investment will be used to accelerate the company’s active growth in the U.S., Turkey, and EMEA markets, establish global sales channels, and expand its R&D capacities.

Nanomik offers biological alternatives to chemical pesticides in the agriculture sector; natural antimicrobials that can replace synthetic biocides in the construction sector; and natural preservatives that extend shelf life in the food sector. With its patented microencapsulation technology, the company aims to prioritize sustainability by increasing the stability and effectiveness of natural active ingredients.

Nanomik Co-founder and CEO Buse Berber Örçen stated that this bridge investment round represents a turning point in their global growth strategies, adding that they plan to establish strong distribution partnerships in the U.S. and EMEA to bring natural and residue-free protection solutions to wider markets.

Nanomik Co-founder and CTO Arda Örçen noted that the MaaS (Microencapsulation as a Service) model not only meets the needs of Nanomik’s own product portfolio but also addresses the stability and efficiency requirements of all partners developing natural formulations. He added that with this newly launched model, they aim to transform the landscape of sustainable products.
